In the days following the operation, the patient should take (daily and preferably before breakfast) two tablets of Follicle Activator Supplement, the food supplement of the Kmax kit designed to increase the speed of hair regrowth and to activate the hair follicles. Its strong stimulating action is due to its mix of active ingredients, such as MSM, L-Cysteine, biotin, turmeric, astaxanthin, vitamin C and E.
Secondly, the surgeon recommends shampooing every day, preferably in the morning. The jet of water must be warm and light.
Another advice that is always valid is to dry the hair by gently dabbing without rubbing the area. Furthermore, if you need a hairdryer, it is essential to use it only at warm temperature and at a distance of 20 cm.
The first three days after hair transplantation
More specifically, the surgeon recommends applying the thermal water in the receiving area once every hour, except at night.
Also in the first three days after surgery, the product of the Kmax Healing line to be used is the Foamer Shampoo. Its ultra-delicate formulation makes it ideal for soothing the skin and preventing newly implanted follicular units from being accidentally removed.
In particular, Dr. Tesauro recommends applying Kmax foamer shampoo to the recipient area by gently dabbing with the palm of the hand for about a minute. The operation must also be repeated on the donor area by massaging with the fingertips. After that, the receiving area must be gently rinsed and the same action must also be performed on the rest of the head.
Post-surgery kit: from the 4th to 6th day after the transplant
On the fourth, fifth and sixth day after the auto-transplant, the patient is advised to continue the application of the Foamer Shampoo from the Kmax Post-Surgery Kit. The foam shampoo should be applied to the recipient area, massaging with the open palm of the hand making circular movements for about a minute. The same operation must also be performed on the donor area. Subsequently, rinse the receiving area and repeat also on the rest of the head.
Also, in the event that small scabs have appeared by the sixth day, Dr. Tesauro recommends applying the third product of the Kmax kit to the recipient area: the soothing oil. Kmax Healing Hair Transplant Lenitive Oil has been formulated precisely to soften and promote the detachment of scabs typical of a post-hair transplantation. Its soothing action is given by its delicate composition based on chamomile, mallow, calendula and vitamin E.
Post-trapianto: one week after
Finally, from the seventh to the fourteenth day after hair transplantation, the surgeon recommends applying the soothing Kmax oil on the recipient area before shampooing. This is to facilitate the detachment of small scabs. It is important to leave Kmax Lenitive Oil on for 5/10 minutes.
As for the shampoo, however, Dr. Tesauro recommends replacing the Foamer Shampoo with the latest product from the Kmax set, the Cleanser Shampoo. Unlike the shampoo used in the first days of post-surgery, Kmax Healing Post-Surgery Cleanser Shampoo does not have such a foamy consistency but still its formulation is extremely delicate thanks to the presence of aloe vera, coconut water, sweet almond, passion flower and red clover.
The Kmax Cleanser Shampoo must be applied to the recipient area by massaging with the fingertips and day after day it is advisable to carry out an increasingly energetic massage. To obtain a light foam, it is preferable to pour the shampoo on one hand, dilute it with water and rub it with the other hand. Instead, at this point, the donor area can be washed without particular caution.
Attention! If after the tenth day, the scabs in the recipient area remain, it means that the washes weren’t performed correctly. Consequently, it is necessary to use the shampoo in the manner indicated above so as not to compromise the final result of the FUE hair transplant.
